Artist
For as long as I can remember, I have always drawn. Or been sewing, or doing craft work – the benefit of coming from a crafty family! After graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design in 2010, I worked in and out of the design field while I had my children, and started small businesses on the side – like making wedding invitations and freelancing design & websites.
One day in July 2020 when going through my collection of work, I thought of what I really wanted to do, which was just draw. So I bought a fancy printer and launched my art print business! I happily use every aspect of my life in my work, from the two muchkins I created to my husband and even our dog, Banjo. But my most favourite inspiration is our Native gardens – we have so many unusual and beautiful natives in Australia, and I take great joy in recreating that.
A majority of my work is completed with Copic Markers, or a combination of mediums, or I also draw digitally on occasion, depending on the mood I’m in – and the Frianki name? It’s a combination of my grandparents names – Frank & Ria.
