About Us

The owner and artist of Frianki, Kathleen, is a mixed media artist and lover of all things drawing, painting, botanical & Australian. After finally having the courage to start up a shop and call herself an artist in July 2020, the response was amazing and she realised it was her love in life to be able to create her own viewpoint and share it with the world.

Each print created is hand signed and unique; and all are archival printed onto 310gsm, 100% smooth cotton rag media with clear coat by Kathleen, in her studio.

Printed at the highest quality, these art prints will last a lifetime.

For as long as I can remember, I have always created.

Or been sewing, drawing, painting, or doing craft work - the benefit of coming from a crafty family!

After graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design in 2010, I worked in and out of the design field while I had my children, and started small businesses on the side - like making wedding invitations and freelance design work.

One day in 2020 when going through my collection of work, I thought of what I really wanted to do, which was just draw. So I bought a fancy printer and launched my art business! I happily use every aspect of my life in my work, from the two muchkins to my husband and even our dog, Banjo. But my most favourite inspiration is our native gardens - we have so many unusual and beautiful natives in Australia, and I take great joy in recreating that.

A majority of my work is completed with watercolour, or Copic Markers, or a combination of mediums, or I also draw digitally on occasion, depending on the mood I'm in - and the Frianki name? It's a combination of my grandparents names - Frank & Ria.
